FAQs
-
Robolabs’ Robotics Summer Camps are an immersive program designed for students to experience hands-on robotics in a condensed, engaging format. With the same core benefits as our year-round robotics classes, students dive into engineering, coding, and mechanical concepts through individual projects and guided instruction.
-
Robolabs offers in-person Robotics Summer Camps at all of our locations in Dublin, Fremont, and San Jose.
-
The camp runs Monday through Friday for one week, with three session types:
Morning Session: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Afternoon Session: 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
Full Day Session: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM (includes a 30-minute lunch break from 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM)
Each session includes a 10-minute break halfway through.
-
Campers begin with a short worksheet outlining key concepts for the day, followed by building and programming their individual robot projects. Breaks are included for snacks or creative downtime, where students may read, draw, or free build.
-
Each camper works on an individual robotics project suited to their skill level. Through platforms like VEX IQ, FLL, and VRC, students explore mechanical design, programming, and scientific principles like gear ratios, friction, and simple machines. The week culminates in building a fully operable robot.
-
We offer three distinct robotics programs:
VEX IQ (Elementary & Middle School): Focuses on foundational mechanical building.
FLL (Elementary & Middle School): Emphasizes programming and innovation using LEGO-based robotics.
VRC (Middle & High School): Involves advanced robotics systems and metal builds for competition preparation.
Each program is designed to introduce and progressively deepen robotics understanding.
-
Half-day campers: Bring a snack and water bottle.
Full-day campers: Bring lunch, snack, and water bottle.
Campers are welcome to bring books, drawing materials, or other quiet activities for breaks.
-
No experience is necessary. Many students start their robotics journey with us, where we introduce them to basic mechanical and programming concepts.
For experienced students, our instructors assess their knowledge and assign them advanced projects tailored to their skills. -
We prioritize personalized learning, maintaining a ratio of 8 students per instructor to ensure each camper receives dedicated attention and support.
-
Yes. We offer extended care from 3:30 PM – 6:00 PM at a rate of $20/hour.
-
